Joanna Short is the CEO of Shorke, which was founded in June of 2018. She has over 12 years of experience in the software technology field, and now specialises in software development for startups and SME's. Her daily responsibilities include client consultancy, working with her team in developing software from MVP and beyond, and working with businesses to help improve the use of technology with the workplace.
She was previously working in the EdTech industry, and having helped manage a company acquisition over a 2 year period, decided it was time to start a tech company of her own.
Joanna has a Bachelor’s of Arts from London in 2015, and was published for her technology articles in 2018. There have also been numerous design and innovation awards attributed to her work in the EdTech sector over a 10 year period.
She says the highlights of her career to date, have been building a strong team, with strong work ethics, and helping coach and develop them to support them in their own careers, as well as developing new software technology that was groundbreaking in the EdTech arena.
In the next few years Joanna hopes to grow Shorke internationally, expanding the team globally, and having the opportunity to really focus on sustainable development. She attributes her success to always believing in herself, avoiding negativity, and surrounding herself with strong mentors. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
