Aalia Rafique has been the Director of Maimonides Medical Center for over 16 years. Her duties include managing the Portfolio/ Project management activities across organization, Business redesign and modifying business operations. She says that she came into this field by way of natural progression and the work is very exciting for her. Her expertise are in Portfolio/ Project management.
Aalia has a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the City University of New York in 2007. She is a member of PMI New York City Chapter. Aalia’s thesis was published in 2002. She graduated with Honors with the Highest ranking in Analytical Chemistry.
In the next few years Aalia hopes to enhance her leadership role in health care. She attributes her success to her hard work and determination. She says she is very proud of her profession and where she is today. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
