Adriana Hernández Herrera is the Director of Global Governance for Chiquita. Chiquita is a leading global company with 20,000 employees across 70 countries. They are passionate about nutritious, high-quality fresh and value-added food products from energy-rich bananas, blends of convenient green salads and other fruits to healthy snacking products. As Director of Global Governance, upon decision of Head Office, she led the outsourcing effort to a service provider with delivery centers in India, Europe and Latin America, of accounts payable, cash application, fixed assets, master data and general accounting (partially). Her responsibilities included the strategic delivery of Chiquita Brands International’s first Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) arrangement, the ongoing management of Chiquita’s global transaction center based in Costa Rica and the leadership of the Global Governance Organization, which managed the BPO day to day execution and service levels. SLAs definition and governance structure implementation were achieved as part of the responsibilities. Leading of global initiatives for process improvements and system implementations/upgrades. Adriana previously was the Director of Global Transaction Center for processes like accounts payable, fixed assets, general accounting, master data management, cash application, payroll, third party Compliance screening and SOX program for the operations processed at the captive service center. Some of her achievements include development of performance metrics and migration of processes from Europe, North America and Latin America. Adriana obtained her CPA license in 1996.
