Albina Hume is a Ukrainian pro-rhino activist who married South African rhino breeder, John Hume. Albina has transformed her life story into a powerful testimony in the form of her Memoir entitled "Misfortune," which has an anticipated release date of February 8, 2015. She is the first Ukrainian author to write a book in her third language--English-- which she learned fully only eight years ago; her first two languages are Ukrainian and Russian. She and her husband John Hume have dedicated their lives to preventing the rhino species from becoming extinct and own over 1,000 white rhinos, many of which were bred by John on his own private ranch. He is one of the world's most renown and respected professionals who are active in this facet of wildlife conservation. Albina has also been filmed on their own largest rhino sanctuary in the world and has received notoriety as the "Rhino Lady" by an organization known as "Africa Cries." This video can be found on YouTube. She believes that her claim to fame consists of determination and self-discipline. She quoted the following mantra as one that is the basis for the manner in which she lives her life, "Live your dreams, stop living your fears." In five years, she can envision her memoir becoming a Hollywood film.
