Alisha Leistner is a Learning Strategist for Eli Lilly. She has over 25 years of professional experience in her career field. Alisha oversees the learning strategy for immunology business units and advises the VP on strategies and meeting gaps. She is a nurse by trade and has a graduate degree in adult learning and this position sits well for her background.
Alisha’s expertise are in learning creativity, clinical, project management and systems. She has a Master’s in Adult Education from Ball State University in 2002. Alisha is a member of Life Science Trainers, AAACE and ASTD/Training Development. She does some public speaking when she speaks at conferences.
In the next few years she is hopes to finish her Phd and would like to be published and get into teaching. Alisha says the key to her success is understanding that learned theory is one thing and practical theory is another and knowing how to balance the two. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
