Alison J. Slingsby is the Innovation Project Manager for HRA Pharma. She says her main responsibilities are to support innovation strategies and manage the implementation of innovation projects within the organization, This involves utilizing consumer insights to find new products or services to fit consumer needs, and decide how they will incorporate into the business.. Alison says that every day in her position is new and challenging. She is best known for her skills and abilities in marketing. She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Open University in the UK and graduated in 2006. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Direct and Digital Marketing and is a member of the Institute of Direct Marketing. Alison led the team to win various Industry Marketing Award in 2016. (SMART awards 2016 - Best Pharmacy Training Programme and Best OTC Launch, OTC awards 2016 - Best Training and Education, Best Trade Advert and Support Package, and Most Innovative New OTC Product, MVP awards 2016 Most Valuable Product Innovation and Most Valuable Training) Alison has been quoted in a few articles in trade publications regarding the marketing of products. Alison says the highlight of her career was the work she did coordinating the switch of a brand from prescription only to being available from Pharmacy in the local market in the UK because it broadened access for women to have the most effective emergencycontraceptive. She attributes her success to her experience, determination and asking a lot of questions. She says in the next few years she will keep continuing to grow within the same field. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
