Amber Raskin, Founder and Executive Director at iLEAD Schools, is a committed teacher and mentor passionate about making a difference in students’ lives. She is a Board Member for the Castaic Days Outdoor Festival and the Santa Clarita Vally international Program (SVIP). She is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach As her children were nearing school age, Amber was tasked with trying to find a suitable school. After searching the entire state of California, she decided to open her own charter school. The first independent site based charter school in the Santa Clarita Valley was opened in 2008, which led to the creation of more schools and eventually a Charter Management. iLEAD charter schools and subsidiaries have launched, overseen, and supported 11 locations to date. Amber oversees and manages strategic business development and business relations for the six (and growing) non-profit schools and non-profit service organizations for iLEAD and affiliated schools and entities. From 135 students with her first school, she now has over 3600 students.
