Andrea Tejedor is the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction & Technology at Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery Central School District. She has been in her career field for over 18 years. Her school has 1000 students and 150 staff members. She works with the teachers, is over eight people on the administration team and manages all the curriculum. Andrea started as an elementary teacher and moved regional training in 17 districts. She specializes in instructional design and how to use technology with learning to support teaching. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, Leadership Management/Policy from Central Hall in 2011. Andrea is a member of ASCD , ISTI, New York State Computer and Education and World Affairs Council in 2012. She speaks at seminars about women and leadership in education technology. She published her dissertation in Technology and Learning Magazine, was interviewed in ISTI and wrote an article for the St. Mary College newspaper in 2018. Andrea attributes her success to her partnerships and passion for people. In the future she hopes to continue to work with school districts and to expand and grow using technology to improve student learning. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
