Ángela Barrero is an Entrepreneur of Coffee and has been growing coffer for over two years.
She originally worked for a construction company, renting equipment and tools for the construction business, and eventually a change took place and now she grows coffee. She grows new plants. Angela says that she does not do a lot of exporting.
She was prompted to go in this field because her whole family has been in farming and it came very naturally to her. She is noted for managing crops and agriculture and loves people development. Angela has a Bachelor’s Degree in Quality for Fruits and Vegetables and a CRM in Administration and Finance from Universidad Externado de Colombia. In 2002 she received a grant and studied in an American university in Business.
Angela is a member of Federación de Cafeteros. She does some lecturing for Aspaen and also lectures at the university. In the future she hopes to continue her coffee business and be certified as it’s a small plantation, 900mm. She also wants to grow more coffee and the increase production sales. Angela will be applying for her Master’s in Sustainability and Water Issues.
She says the keys to her success have been stubbornness, determination and passion. Angela is the most proud of her coffee career and the work that has been done on farming issues. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
