Dr. Anke Schorr is a Senior Investment Analyst and Director with GAM where she brings deep expertise in quantitative investment strategies, financial analysis, software development, and mathematical models.
After receiving her PhD in Mathematics from the Federal Institute of Technology (Zurich) in 2000, Dr. Schorr began her career in the software industry where she led key projects for a start-up company. Later on, she moved to the financial sector, where she successfully implemented risk management for the Italy-based subsidiary of a Russian investment enterprise.
She is a CFA charterholder and member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
She published academic papers in areas as diverse as mathematical physics, credit risk management and agricultural economics and has been a speaker at conferences about these topics.
When not engaged with work, Dr. Schorr enjoys yak trekking in the Swiss Alps and is on the board of the Swiss Yak Association.
