I am a world class triathlete (off-road). . Also an endurance runner, mountain biker (recently rode mountain bike across Tibet including Base Camp of Mt. Everest), open-water swimmer, tennis player, skier (alpine and nordic), mountaineer. Film; Reading; Wildflower Enthusiast; Jewelry Designer are active and important parts of my life.
I have a husband and live in Berkeley, California. I have two grown daughters who are each elite athletes and 'socially responsible' professionals.

Barbara Edelston Peterson, is a world-class endurance athlete and humanitarian champion with an illustrious four-decade long career. She is a world-recognized leader and an example to thousands of people. Barbara empowers others in identifying and expanding their strengths, direction, and skills to optimize performance and initiate transformation. She is an author of five books, a motivational speaker and sports psychologist with double Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Eastern Philosophy (1983). In addition, she is a Brand Ambassador for global companies such as Patagonia, Oakley, Specialized Bicycles, KIND Healthy Snacks, Salomon, Suunto, and Lululemon Athletica.
