Brydie McKee is the CEO and co-founder of Vonex Ltd, a specialist telecommunications provider of unique VoIP solutions, cloud-based business phone services and innovation to industry. Brydie steered Vonex Ltd to #1 in the 2014 CRN Fast 50 Awards, recognising her leadership of the fastest growing IT company in Australia with a growth rate of 232.34% and revenue of $3.7 million. Deloitte also recognised Vonex Ltd as #16 in the Fastest 500 companies across the Asia Pacific Region, with a revenue growth of 1926% from 2012-2014.
Brydie has a solid corporate background in entrepreneurship, banking and finance and has successfully transitioned her leadership, strategic and business skills to the IT world overseeing capital raising and a merger in 2013 with another IT company.
When Brydie co-founded Vonex Ltd in 2009, it was a fledgling IT company and she soon identified that innovation was key to the future and worked to steer the company towards success. Her excellence in visionary and active management has seen her guide the company through various transformations, veering off the planned path sometimes in order to create opportunities.
Since then, she has used her business acumen, contacts and knowledge to take the company to greater heights, encouraging further innovation through research and development of new IT products, raised capital and established Vonex Ltd in Australia, USA and Asia.
One of the challenges she faced was establishing and cultivating a collaborative culture in a highly technical, male-dominated industry. Brydie’s inspirational leadership, credibility and integrity quickly established a team culture through her ability to empower and inspire others to be their best. This approach has seen her encourage the right people in the jobs they are passionate about. Their success is testament to Brydie’s strong and approachable leadership in this very specialised field of engineers, programmers, technicians and support staff.
Brydie has also lead Vonex Ltd to significant partnerships with Asia through her fearless leadership and cross-cultural negotiation skills. She continues to grow and negotiate business in emerging global markets across the Asia Pacific Region and has gained the respect of international businessmen due to her sound business principles, ethics and results driven approach. Brydie’s strong background in finance, coaching leaders and building businesses has ensured her success on the world stage. To date, Vonex has more than 10,000 people using its PBX system and has technology deployed in the USA, Australia, and Asia. Vonex is now in 63 countries, carrying millions of calls a month.
