Cathy Menees is founder of Living Lekker, an online kitchen guide, sharing recipes, lifestyle habits and gadget tips to help you live “lekker”—meaning “yummy” in Dutch. The word, “lekker” applies to more than just food, however. It is a feeling; living lekker means choosing the right foods and making them taste great. When you eat lekker, you feel lekker! Living Lekker sells a global, flavor-fused range of 100 percent natural meal packages under the “Taste Travels” sub-brand, which is currently only available in the Netherlands, coming soon to the UK, and eventually making its way to America. Cathy has 21 years of experience in the technology industry at Microsoft where started in finance and business operations, shifted to the sales and marketing realm in a global capacity, and then spent the last eight years working with policy makers and governments around the world on technology policy, economic development, and education. She then left to join a South Africa-based social enterprise as COO-Wonderbag, helping set up the operating, sales and marketing framework. Almost two years ago, Cathy founded her own company, Living Lekker, to help people return to real food in a healthy, tasty, and responsible way.
