For almost 19 years, Carmen Pilar Contreras has brought dynamic passion to her career in teaching and is currently the Academic Director for Let's Start English School, financed by Asociación Civil Creamos, a non-profit organization. She is working towards broadening horizons and opportunities for students by teaching English as a second language. Ms. Contreras earned her Bachelor's degree in Education, and completed with honors ICPNA's Advanced Program of English in 2000. Prior to this, she worked in Peru as a bilingual executive secretary for about 25 years as well as in Jakarta, Indonesia and Seoul, South Korea where she learned to value the importance of speaking multiple languages and saw clearly how this could change one's life. Moving forward, Ms. Contreras hopes to work as long as she is physically able and to continue to apply her values of perseverance, responsibility and honesty in all of her endeavors. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, watching the news and movies on TV, knitting and taking her pet for a walk.
