Christine Mwangi is an outstanding pharmacist who has dedicated herself to global health. She is the Founder and Operations Manager at Be a Rose, a program that provide information, services and products that will help promote and improve the health, welfare, and productivity of school -age youth in under-served inner city and rural populations both local and around the world. Christine is responsible for managing (virtually and in-person) a staff team of 6 professionals in 3 continents and 3 countries. She also acts as the chief liaison between all members, while facilitating all communication and meetings. In addition, she manages all work plans, fundraising, donor budgets, vendor relations, and legal parameters for project work, accounting and contracts. Christine is dedicated to a school in Kenya, Paul Mbiyu Primary School to help re-build their toilet facilities and also provide the girls in the school with sanitary towels to use during school hours. Research shows that the young girls drop out of school or miss days due to lack of sanitary products and proper hygiene. She is working with the community and volunteers to bring Be a Rose global awareness to the problems of young ladies and promote menstrual hygiene while aiding in the empowerment of women in the village. Be a Rose's mission is to ensure school-age youth do not drop out due to avoidable needs like basic hygiene products for girls, food, medications, school supplies, safe and adequate drinking water, or problems related to health screening and immunizations.
