Reverend Dr. Cicely Athill-Horsford is the Reverend at The Moravian Church - Eastern West Indies Province. She has been a reverent for over 37 years. She is on the executive board for the church and she manages the day to day running of the church. She says she was always involved in the church ever since she was a young girl. At the age of 19 she was a teacher and then progressively, God called her and helped her to apply for the church and she did and they paid for her education.
Reverend Horsford’s expertise are in management and church administration. She has degree in Theology from the United Theological College of the West Indies in 1982. The Reverend is on the World Council of Churches, belongs to the Christian Council and the Caribbean Conference of Churches. She does public speaking in the church and the community.
Dr. Horsford was the first woman to be ordained in the entire Caribbean and she was ordained 10 years after graduation which is also very unique. In the future she hopes to be leading the Moravian Church, be elected bishop and continuing to inspire women. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
