Claude L'Hoiry is an Administrator for the European Union. His specialties are local and rural development, economic and entrepreneurial development, public and civil society strengthening, international procurement, as well as financial and administrative management of international cooperation projects. His general role is to support decision-makers in fulfilling the mission of their institution or body. AD 5 is the grade at which graduates begin their careers as administrators in the European institutions. Administrators recruited at this grade can undertake, under supervision, three main types of work in the institutions: policy formulation, operational delivery, and resource management. Some of his responsibility include management of office equipment, maintaining a clean and enjoyable working environment, handling external or internal communication or management systems, managing clerical or other administrative staff, and organizing, arranging and coordinating meetings. He is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
