Daniela Fuentes Sanchez was inspired early on in life by her father, an engineer who helped to imbue in her a sense of curiosity for how things work. Having always been an engineer at heart, Daniela graduated from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education / ITESM with a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Electronic Engineering. She is now Senior SCADA Engineer at Enel Green Power where she designs conceptual and detailed communication architectures for renewable energy plants and coordinates the intricate automated needs required for data transmission for renewable energy systems. While in college, Daniela worked in IT Services for KUO Group as part of the team for LAN Renovations Project for Grupo DESC plants. In 2009 Daniela joined ABB Mexico as a Controls Engineer Robotics helping to develop Industrial Robotics systems in order to streamline manufacturing needs. Her dedication and willingness to face new challenges was recognized at ABB and she transitioned to the position of Controls Engineer Power Systems, designing substation control systems based in DNP 3.0 and IEC 61850 standards as well as designing SCADA systems.
