In 2016, Debra, an Illinois native and New Orleans transplant, purchased her family home overlooking beautiful Bull Shoals Lake. Even though she’s a newcomer to the Bull Shoals Lake Corridor, she has a 40-year relationship with this area with family ties. Debra’s father, Thomas F. Schilling, was a real estate agent in this area in the 1987-2002.
Debra offers competent, reliable, comprehensive service for real estate. She possesses a passion for people to fulfill their real estate needs, with an emphasis on the REAL OZARKS, but there is no dust settling on her wheels! October 2019, Debra received the SRES® Designation (Senior Real Estate Specialist) and has received additional education and better equipped to help buyers or sellers in the 50+ age bracket. Debra is currently enrolled in C2EX (Commitment to Excellence) sponsored by Missouri/National Board of REALTORS®, and will participate in Missouri’s GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) and also is eager to and working toward obtaining her other real estate certifications and designations, including CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), SRS (Seller Representative Specialist), e-Pro, MRP (Military Relocation Professional), RSPS (Resort & Second Home Property Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor), and RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert.)
Debra is active in her local church, Ozark County Chamber of Commerce Board Member/Office Liaison and Theodosia Area Wide Chamber of Commerce. She is also a lifetime member of Worldwide Association of Female Professionals and member of Women’s Council of REALTORS®. She has extensive volunteer experience with the Stepfamily Association and Land Trust for Louisiana.

The next time you visit the Ralph Foster Museum at the College of the Ozarks in Hollister, Missouri, be sure to look for an exhibit on the second floor featuring her grandfather’s Winchester Rifle!
Debra is married to her best friend, Gary Smith. They are the proud parents of two Doxies, Fritz & Chloe. Debra’s adult children include, Luke & his wife, Samantha and is a proud Grammy to fur babies [Kingsley & Oliver], two (2) step-children who have fur babies and children, Laura & her husband Augie [Helen], and Nicholas & his wife, Amanda [Cameron & Wesley], who all live in the New Orleans metro areas.
