Dominique Berton is the Author of Intuition Matters. She wanted to educate herself to help her own children, and then came into contact with others who needed help. She was able to facilitate trainings for children who needed me due to me teaching training. She previously taught at Belgium's National Police Academy, spoke at high schools, and did motivational speaking for career advice. She published book titled Intuition Matters in 2011, and writes a monthly blog for a company called Family Matters. She wrote various academic articles, finishing her first novel to be published in 2020. In the next few years, she is going to start working for a company that will allow her to train parents to become "parent professionals," giving them the information they need to contact the correct organizations and people to empower themselves and other parents. She is also writing a book on midlife crises, what we can still do to get out there everyday and feel good about what we need to do. The keys to her success are tenacity and hard work. Her career highlight has been being one of the people in Belgium who helped write the law on victim support in 1995. It was an amazing and humbling experience. As a result, she became co-founder of a voluntary organization that had an anonymous helpline for survivors of domestic violence. She now works with children who have been expelled from school, who are incredibly inspiring. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
