Dorcas I. Torres-Padilla has 25 years of experience in her career. She is an Associate Professor at InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, where she teaches physics courses and conducts research. She has had her work published and featured in journals, and is a regular speaker and fixture at conferences and workshops in the field.
After discovering a love for physics when she took the course in high school, Dorcas knew she had found her calling. She holds a doctorate in Physics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain, class of 2004. She has been recognized multiple times with awards from the governor of Puerto Rico, and looking ahead hopes to create a network specifically for those who research in the physics field.
She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other likeminded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
