Dr. Doris E. Vidal-Dorsch has more than 15 years of professional experience in her career. Currently, Doris is operating out of Costa Mesa California working as a Doctor, Owner, and Founder of her own business: "VDAL Life Changing Services", a life coaching company, which was established two years ago. Previously she worked for a governmental institution for 13 years.
Currently, her main role and responsibilities consist of life coaching one-on-one Clients and teaching communication, empowering and leadership classes to diverse groups. Doris' coaching practice distinguishes itself by the use of her scientific training to generate effective and assertive results, which together with her compassion and understanding have helped her to contribute to the improvement of her Client’s lives. It doesn’t matter to Doris how little or how big the life changes need to be, what matters is that her Clients are ready for the change. Doris is passionate about helping others thrive and be happier.
Her highest level of education is her Doctoral degree in Integrative Biology received from UC Berkeley. Doris is active in several societies and she volunteers in some of them. For example, she is a thriving member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, the Sigma Xi Society, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Southern California Chamber of Commerce, and many others.
Doris has received several awards for her work. Such as the "Eugene Kenaga Membership Award (2018), European Citations for Exemplary Contributions to SETAC (2017, 2018), she has been a Student Carrer Mentor at SETAC NA annual meetings (2013-2018), she also received SETAC Presidential Citations for Exemplary Service (in 2011 and 2013). She also received the Sigma Xi Ambassadorship for the Packard Initiative (2007), the Minority and Mentoring Award from SETAC in 2007, the Sigma Xi International Award 2007, among others. She was also awarded as an International Evaluator by the Georgia National Foundation (2010-2016). Since 2018 Doris was selected to become a Mentor of the New York Academy of Sciences.
In the next few years, Doris plans to continue to grow her business and also to continue her personal growth. She plans to develop her business by incrementing the number of coaches and instructors in her practice, as well as expanding her services. Personally, she will continue educating herself because she wants to make a difference in her field and she is passionate abouthelping others. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gain the recognition and credibility of being a member.
