Personal Information
Denise Cunha Sobrinho is Newsroom Chief Editor for Rede Globo. She has over 40 years in her field, and supervises editors, producers and reporters. She aspired to be writer, and has a natural ability to edit, supervise and review the work of others.
She holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Federal University of Sao Carlos, 1981. She is a member of the Apraji Investigative Journalism Brazilian Association, and is a TD Global Special Course lecturer for student journalists.
She received the International Film Prize in 1992 (Japan Tradition and Modernity), and was twice an Emmy Finalist in 2008 and 2009. She plans to start a new business to continue to mentor young journalists, with a focus on the improvement on women in journalism. She credits her success to hard work, focus, and making a difference in her field. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
