Eliane Fersan is an experienced professional, CEO and President that has 14 years in the Non-Profit industry. Holding a Masters degree in history in addition to her teaching experience both at high school and university, she has over 12 years of experience in NGO development, project & event management and has held several executive positions with regional & international NGOs & companies & United Nations’ Agency, UNFPA. Eliane is very passionate about her profession. As President of the Lebanon Development Union, she believes that hard-work and consistency are the keys to her success. She received many prestigious awards for her efforts in the fields of development, women empowerment and culture such as the U.S. Embassy Mission Honor Award (2013&2014), Department of State Meritorious Honor Award (2010), US Embassy Meritorious Honor Award (2010), the Benjamin Franklin Award (2012), and the John F. Kennedy Fellowship Award (2008). Eliane was nominated for the Swanee Hunt Award for Women Advancement (2009) and is featured as a prominent Lebanese woman leader in Who is She in Lebanon. She is featured among the top 40 Lebanese Female Role Models in the UNESCO Career Guidance from Grassroots (2013). Eliane is multilingual in French, Arabic, English, and Spanish.
