She has published articles on trademark and copyright law for the Intellectual Property and Technology law journal and San Francisco Daily Journal.

Elise is a native of London, England. She has lived in California for more than twenty five years. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley where she graduated summa cum laude in English Literature. Elise received her J.D. from Golden Gate University in 1998.
