Erin Fisher is CFO of The Bar Method, an industry leader in the rapidly growing barre-based fitness niche. The company launched its franchise operations in 2008 followed by its media division in 2009. Today there are 91 (and growing) locations across the country and in Canada to go along with an online store offering branded apparel and custom exercise accessories. The Bar Method company is focused on the empowerment of women—an aspect Erin greatly values. Erin received a Bachelors degree in Business & Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, 2007. She has expertise in evaluating and interpreting technical accounting guidance and generally accepted accounting principles with extensive experience in audits of highly recognized internet-based technology clients. Over her ten years in the industry, she has identified and executed various internal process improvements, including transitioning to a new equity management and accounting software and enhancing existing accounting processes by utilizing greater Excel functionalities. She has led team planning events for audit engagements, including risk assessment, determining audit responses to identified risks, determining materiality and significant accounts, and discussing market, business, and accounting updates.
