Esther Sanchez is a Senior Business Manager of IT Solutions and IT talent with more than 30 years of experience in her field. She spent nearly 17 years leading a start-up virtual team across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) focused on designing and selling Digital Transformation solutions to F500 companies for Hewlett Packard Enterprises, leaving HP as its Senior Manager for the Solutions & Technology Group for EMEA. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years pioneering e-commerce, e-banking and e-brokerage solutions for major brands in Spain. She relocated to the Netherlands less than a year ago and took on a new role as Senior Business Manager EMEA, Hybrid IT for Ingram Micro, a distributor for major IP manufacturers like Dell and Microsoft.
Esther was prompted to take on her new role after deciding to negotiate an amicable exit from HP with a continued relationship in an independent capacity so that she could relocate to the Netherlands to fully embrace a new personal life. She is very happy to have made the choice as she is loving what she is doing now. She says the key to achievement is that she "likes to do very well" and "good enough is not enough" for her. In the next 3 to 5 years, she intends to take on the role of a director and to concentrate on helping others develop in their professional careers. She plans to spend a few years in the directorship and then retire.
She says her greatest achievement, professionally, was leading cross cultural teams very well and developing her team members to their maximum potential. She is especially proud for the work she did in Saudi Arabia where she helped achieve gender equality in the work and gained respect for herself and the women she worked with in that project.
