For over 15 years, Dr. Gizella Gyorffy Jahnke has been a Researcher for National Agricultural Research, where she brings unmatched expertise in biological science, agriculture, horticulture and genetics to her vast body of work. In this role, Dr. Gyorffy Jahnke spearheads the research planning process meticulously and spends much time in the laboratory working with genetics. Growing up, Dr. Gyorffy Jahnke had aspirations of becoming a medical doctor, but was unable to afford medical school. This led her to choose biology with a focus on genetics specialization at university,. She then went on to earn her PhD in Biological Sciences at Corvinus University of Budapest in 2006 and has since seen rapid success in her field. A prolific writer and public speaker, Dr. Gyorffy Jahnke has been published in numerous scientific journals and is often requested to lecture at universities and seminars, most recently at the University of Pannonia. She is a member of the Hungarian Plant Breeders Association and the International Society of Horticulture Science. Moving forward, Dr. Gyorffy Jahnke hopes to begin research in a new area of work, software engineering with a focus on genetics.
