With over 25 years of professional and political experience, Gilian Burton-Persuad is a Member of Parliament for the National Assembly of Guyana and is best known for being the president of the Guyana trade union. To these roles, Gilian brings dynamic leadership skill and unprecedented expertise in governance, trade, and public policy.
Gilian received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Also a talented speaker, she has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars regarding gender equality. Additionally, she took part in passing tax laws in the parliament for over 10 years and has been featured in numerous political articles and on the Guyana news.
Moving forward, Gilian hopes to network as much as possible with likeminded female professionals, as she believes firmly in the power of the presence of women in government and business.
