Masters of Business Law, Universidad Panamericana 2010-2011; Bachelors Degree in Law, Universidad Iberoamericana 1999-2004
Gloria Aguilera created her own firm, GAL Abogados, in 2011, which acts as in-house council for companies without the usual high costs for legal advice. Gloria works as external council with the accessibility and attention that an in-house, legal team can provide. She created a commercial association of smaller firms and lawyers to handle a company's legal issues. She will outsource/refer other attorneys for their expert work to complete the task a company needs. Gloria describes her firm as a "one stop shop" for companies, giving them a reliable and experienced attorney as needed (as opposed to having in-house council.) Her niche services provide smaller companies with legal solutions and access to experts that they may not have been able to afford (with in-house council.) Gloria strives to provide her clients with all legal solutions required and is able to do so based on her wide range of expertise and her network of other accomplished lawyers. Gloria is very experienced in all forms of corporate law such as: corporate governance, transformation, division, dissolution and liquidation of companies, corporate restructuring, contractual law, financial law, transactional (mergers and acquisitions), intellectual property, real estate, labor and aeronautical. She can also provide expert advice on creating national and international structures to protect and/or maximize heritage resources and succession plans to achieve transcendence of companies from generation to generation. While she works primarily on a national level in Mexico, she has a few international clients. Gloria is an avid marathon runner, completing marathons in Mexico, San Antonio, Miami and Chicago. She plans on running in Mexico and Washington this year. Gloria is a bright, energetic, ambitious, intelligent and shrewd lawyer. She strives to be an inspirational and exceptional woman, hoping to be an example for other women to show that they "can do it all." Gloria would like to set a great example for women as well as for her children. She takes great pride in her work, her accomplishments, and her family. She believes in the importance of being proud of one's work and would like to pass this on to her children as well as future generations of female professionals.
