GianPaola Pedretti is the Business Development Manager at Veronafiere Spa for the past two years. Veronafiere is the largest Italian exhibitions organizer (particularly in the wine, agribusiness, natural stone sectors) and, she and her staff will analyze market & trends, looking for new opportunites to expand the business in new markets, growing in international markets, scheduling and organizing events. She says she is constantly on the hunt for new trends and ways to bring a sense of uniqueness to her events. GianPaola , after spending 3 years in Russia working both as lecturer in University and CEO of an import/export Russian-Italian company, came into her career field by way on natural progression, from the smaller Fair of Brescia (the Italian town where she is still living) to Verona International Exhibition Centre, where she works now. Her expertise are in project management, analytic and strategic knowhow in events organization. She has a Master’s Degree in Foreign Language and Literature from the Italian Catholic University of Sacro Cuore in 1991, and she attended several courses to specialize in business approach to different markets (Northen African Countries, Iran) and in team building. As per her job, she travels a lot around the world, and has a solid network of contacts all over the world with professionals in the exhibition and business sectors (above a personal knowledge of many international markets). She does not do any lecturing or public speaking at this time, a part of the ones when representing her company abroad or in conferences / seminars to exhibitors/buyers. She attributes her success to her warm and approachable personality, keen to work in a multicultural framework. In the future her goals are to expand her geographical area of service as much as possible while also hiring more services for the company and making global contacts. She is the most concerned with the growth of the company in the next few years. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
