With over 25 years of experience in her field, Helena Halvas Begovich is Chief Compliance Officer for Afore where she applies her unprecedented knowledge of Mexican Retirement Funds Supervision, Operational Risk, Regulation, Anti Money Laundering for AFORES (Retirement Pension Funds in Mexico) and Investment Strategies. In this role, she seamlessly reviews the fullfillment of internal and external regulation, reporting only to the Board of Directors and Shareholders Assembly of the company, with absolute Independence from de CEO.
After receiving her Bachelor's degree in Finance in 1987, Ms. Halvas Begovich saw rapid success in the financial sector and soon ascended to her current role, where she has been recognized as Best Compliance Officer in the Mexican Retirement Funds (AFORES).
