Dr. Irene A. Legiec has 28 years of experience in her field. As Senior Director, Continuous Improvement at Covanta, she oversees 16 plants and their waste management conversion. She is highly skilled in lean manufacturing, technology, health and safety, and executive leadership, and is passionate about ensuring her plants are running to the highest standard.
Irene holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and holds a patent for her thesis. In addition to the WAoFP she is a member of the AICP, and She has been a featured speaker on topics of sustainability and community infrastructure. She spent over 27 years of her career working at industry leader Dupont, and is proud of the strong teams she has built and projects she has managed over the years.
