Jaimee Marks has been the dynamic CEO of a personal training company for the past 8 years and is also considered an expert in tobacco cessation consulting. Originally during her premed studies, the course of Jaimee's career changed when she took a recommended Indigenous Health course which really changed her entire perspective. In addition, Jaimee has attained Private Management Certification, and she is currently pursuing her Health Management Certification. She is a Nationally Certified Tobacco Addiction Specialist and is part of the Canadian Addiction Counselors Certification Federation. Jaimee has served on several boards; including the Carmichael Outreach Board, the Regina Senior Center Board, and also served on the Committee of North American Indigenous Games Council, where she was Operations & Sports Manager for the 2014 Games; as well as the Saskatchewan Games Council. During her career, Jaimee has participated in many seminars, conferences, and public speaking events focused on youth empowerment and overcoming poverty, and regularly trains medical professionals, as well as conducting online training for universities across Canada. Additionally, she works with PACT- Partnership Assisting in the Cessation of Tobacco and TAR- Tobacco Addiction Recovery. Currently she is working with the All Nations Hospital in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan on a provincial Tobacco cessation strategy that mirrors the School of Wellness Project she started on several years ago. She is an expert in the Tobacco Addiction Recovery program, which was an initiative started by Health Canada to ensure the conversation in cessation was inclusive of Indigenous peoples and their culture. Indeed, Jaimee Marks is dedicated to helping more Indigenous and First Nations people achieve their goals, break barriers, while also inspiring CEO's and leaders to remember when they started out and to help other people up in their careers. Her strongest quality is the gift to explain thoughts clearly, succinctly, and without irritation, bringing an enthusiastic outlook into every arena.
