I am a passionate and committed clinician and coach and successful Executive Clinical Director. I am seeking to combine my coaching and consultancy skills to help individuals and businesses achieve their potential. Dr. Jean Challiner is an medical professional and Executive Coach with extensive hands on experience in Primary Care, Accident and Emergency and healthcare technology.
She has worked at Clinical Director/Executive Vice President level within the NHS in a England and in commercial organisations since 2002, helping organisations across the world transform their clinical services through the introduction of technology and decision support. During that time she has formed many lasting relationships with senior clinical and non clinical executives.
Jean is Director of her own coaching and consultancy business, Aspirations Consulting Ltd. She has coached patients for most of her career and turned her attention to coaching colleagues and others in about 2008. She recently successfully completed an EMCC Practitioner course in Executive Coaching. She is passionate about helping others realise their true potential as she has personally experienced the power of coaching and the difference it can make to an individual or to a team/business.
Jean has been Group Medical Director for Interserve plc for the past year offering assurance to the board on matters of clinical quality and safety, leading on the clinical design and governance framework for major tenders and acting as medical advisor for other work streams in the business, including the mergers and acquisitions team.
Dr. Challiner has always enjoyed being involved in the healthcare field. She values people and enjoys supporting them. She started off as a general practitioner and A&E specialist but her career took a slight shift after she visited a clinical call center, where she realised that through technology and decision support, high quality and consistent assessment could be available for whole health economies. She is proud to have customised clinical assessment algorithms for health economies as diverse as the UK, Ghana, Australia, Brazil, Scandinavia and Europe. She promotes value based healthcare with meaningful and sustainable outcomes fir patients.
Jean has always made job decisions based on things she thought she'd enjoy. She credits her success to strong core values and her desire to do the right things properly. She is also very tenacious. "Do the right thing even on a bad day,” is a saying that she firmly believes in and tries to implement on a daily basis in her life.
