Jenny Suárez is the Executive Producer for WAPA-TV. She has been in the broadcasting industry for over 30 years. On a day to day basis she handles producing works with the assignment desk, deciding what story will go to which reporter and what order the reports are going to come out. She makes all the final decision for hiring and firing and development.
Jenny says that she wanted to be a journalist originally but when she was in school she started working in broadcasting. She says that she really enjoys the flow of being in the television industry. Her expertise lie in producing and she has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication from The University of Sagrado Corazon in 1987. She is a member of Emmy Sun Coast Chapter.
Jenny is an Emmy Winner from 2007 for a show that she produced. In the future she hopes to stay with WAPA TV and hopefully become a news director for them. She attributes her success to her organization skills and her consistency. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
