Jessica Brescia, Chief Risk Officer at Old Mutual Global Investors, is an experienced legal, risk and compliance professional with ten years of experience. Since joining the Old Mutual Group in 2010, Jessica has served in various senior positions before stepping into her current role in 2014. She also serves as board director to Old Mutual Global Investors’ UK, Dublin and Cayman fund ranges. She is proud to be part of the executive team that has organically grown the company from a £4bn AUM business into an over £24bn AUM business in only three years. Shortly after graduating with a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Barnard College, Columbia University, in 2002, Jessica received her JD from American University, Washington College of Law, 2005. Jessica has been named of the Top 30 Under 30 by the Square Mile Awards and Financial News’ Top 40 Under 40 in Legal Services. She speaks frequently, most recently at the May 2015 Conference of the International Bar Association on convergence of regulation. Her writing has been published in many journals, including Hedge Fund Journal, Euromoney, Dechert OnPoint, and more. Jessica is a member of the Investment Association, the General Regulation Committee. She is eager to network with other female professionals and is currently building directorships on funds that her company manages overseas. She looks to step into a director role for a nonprofit and continue picking up new skills. Jessica is an avid cupcake baker and viola player.
