Jessica J. Piña is the Director of Nos Fortalesa Montessori Aruba since 2013. It is a private school founded in 2013. Jessica is the director and lead teacher. It started as an elementary school and now goes to the 5th grade. She teaches during the day then has meetings with the parents and staff. She says she was prompted to go into this field 10 years ago when she was searching for a school for her daughter and discovered a Montessori Primary School. Jessica worked at that school for four years. After these wonderful four years, she taught one year at the primary Montessori program of the International School of Aruba and started her own Montessori Elementary program after this year of teaching at the ISA. She is a certified Montessori primary and elementary teacher. She also has an Associates Degree in Tourism, Hospitality and Restaurant business completed in 2004 from the Amsterdam Dutch College of Gastronomy. Jessica is a member of the International Montessori Society and the International Montessori Council (Montessori Foundation). In addition is a member of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) where he Montessori elementary degree is obtained. She does a lot of public speaking, organization of fundraisers and information. Jessica was published in 2014 in a blog of a well known Montessori school in the US, she was published in numerous local newspapers and recently was published in the Montessori Observer (International) because of her work on the island of Aruba. In the next three to five years she would like to have a middle and high school program and to be affiliated with the Association Montessori Internationale. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
