Jessica Maxwell is a Vice President and Infrastructure Engineer with JP Morgan Chase. She has spent over 25 years in computer engineering, the last 13 of these with JP Morgan. Self taught, Ms. Maxwell started her career in computing after high school as a UNIX System Engineer/Customer Support Engineer with Management Solutions Unlimited. After increasing her computing knowledge, she moved on to a role as a System Support Engineer/Field Engineer with Sun Microsystems. She took on progressively more advanced positions from there, becoming a Senior UNIX Administrator, which ultimately led to her current role as VP for JP Morgan Chase. Ms. Maxwell is particularly involved in working with women in tech and getting more women involved in tech and business. A dynamic public speaker and advocate, Ms. Maxwell often speaks on the issue and is currently an applicant with the National Speakers Association. Her goals in the next 5 years are to move from the Vice President position to an Executive Director position leading multiple teams of people in tech around the world. Jessica accredits her remarkable success in her filed to sheer determination, never quitting and always learning and adding to her skills. She says she is still waiting to make her greatest professional achievement and so far it is just the overall career she has built in her field. When not engaged with work, Ms. Maxwell is an NRA Pistol Instructor and enjoys shooting and billiards.
