With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Jimena Gomez is an Engineer at Fundacion InHoy where she conducts research, speaks at conferences on research, and observes and reviews the operation of the organization to ensure the progression of the company. To this role, Dr. Gomez brings a true passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and unmatched expertise in technology and design.
Dr. Gomez obtained her PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2018 and has spoken at numerous international conferences on her research findings. She also has two chapters in two books, one on design and technology and the other on disabled people in the workplace. Moving forward, Dr. Gomez plans to do more public speaking and to continue working with nonprofits to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
When not engaged with work, Dr. Gomez enjoys swimming.
