Joy Lumanog has over 3 years of experience in her role as HR Consultant with Joy of HR. She partners with businesses and teaches them new methods and systems that would help them, and works in recruitment, training, consulting, client relations, and payroll. Highly passionate about developing people and learning their backgrounds, she also mentors on the side and has a big curiosity on how brains develop in human beings. Joy holds an MBA with a focus on the training aspect of human resources from the University of Phoenix, and received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Saint Theresa College. She is a Certified Professional Human Resources in British Columbia (CPHRBC) and affiliated with the CCHRA, Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), and Women of Leadership Foundation (WIL). She loves making a difference and giving back what she has learned throughout her career, and credits her success to surrounding herself with positive people who were also high achievers. Looking ahead, she hopes to be able to collaborate with others, learn more about emotional intelligence; and share her own knowledge and credo that "self-awareness is the new MBA".
