The effect music can have on a person's outlook, happiness and well-being is hard to overstate. With 20 years of experience in Music Education and Therapy, Jill C. Parsons understands this better than most. She has used this experience to become a force for positive change in and around her community in Vancouver, Canada. Her days are spent working with organizations such as hospitals or group homes for individuals with special needs to bring music to struggling individuals. She organizes a community choir of challenged men and women, which she has done since 2001.
In addition to her work as a music therapist, Jill gives private music instruction on several instruments such as guitar and piano. Her experience and training as a therapist may give her insights into the development of a child, though she recognizes it as secondary to her instruction.
