More than 25 years
For over 25 years, Judge Judith Fitzgerald has served as a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge (5 as Chief Judge) and 12 years as a litigator in the U.S. Attorney's Office. Judge Fitzgerald has an extensive background in understanding the pros and cons of litigation across multiple disciplines, civil and criminal and commercial and consumer. She has broad experience as mediator, expert witness and consultant on a wide variety of business, bankruptcy and malpractice issues. Judge Fitzgerald is also a founding faculty member at the Indiana Tech Law School. She has held positions as President and Treasurer of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, Board Member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Bankruptcy Education Committee of the Commercial Law League, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Allegheny Bar Association, and others.
