Jyoti Sidhu has been with Ballard Power Systems for 15 years and has occupied her current role as a Director for 1 year so far. Her daily responsibilities consist of quality assurance, understanding customer requirements, conducting customer surveys, and managing a team of 12 in Canada and a team of 5 in Mexico.
Jyoti studied in 4 different countries during her education with one being in India, her home land for her BA in Economics. She is part of the ASQ which is a global community of professionals, passionate about quality in using their expertise and understanding to implement new strategies in increasing quality performance.
Jyoti assists in internal public speaking to Board of Directors. She initially entered the company as a production person, which lead into the progressed roles of team lead, manager, and director of quality. Within 3-5 years, she would like to lead the company in a possible COO or VP of Operations role.
Jyoti is very proud of becoming a director and remaining on top scale with her company. She also works closely with the international organization Unitedway, which is a week long event that holds fun contests and activities to raise money for matters such as education for kids and much more.
