Karinna Ruiz has worked with Sabre for 15 years. "Sabre is a leading technology solutions provider to the nearly US$8 trillion travel industry." Its technology and data-driven solutions help its airline, hotel and travel agency customers grow their businesses and transform the traveler experience. Karinna started her career with Sabre at the help desk, moved on to system management, then to training, sales, new business development and major accounts. Currently she serves an Account Director responsible for the single most major account of Sabre in its travel agency sector.
Karinna says she chose to follow a career with Sabre because she was put on a good career path when she joined the company and she really likes what she does in her job. She studied tourism and hotel management in college and has an expertise in the area of travel agencies and airline territories in the LATAM region. In 2011 she was awarded Sabre's Employee of the Year.
Karinna says the travel industry is evolving and undergoing great changes and her goal for the next few yeas is to continue to learn and stay abreast of these changes so that she can help her organization take advantage of the many opportunities she believes these changes will offer. She says her keys to success have been to accommodate change, adapt, have vision and spend time with other people with vision. She plans to employ these same principals as she moves forward with her goals for her organization.
Karinna considers her current role as an executive with Sabre and knowing and helping her client's needs her greatest professional achievements. She looks forward to sharing knowledge and learning about changes in the travel industry from all around the world. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
