With over 16 yeas of experience in her field, Karla Benavides is a Food Technologist at CREA where she specializes in lab analysis, sodium in processed foods, chemical analysis for sodium, marketing campaigns in reduction of sodium and makes registration processes in the ministry of health. Karla works with producers and distributors in other countries just to make sure all processes are running smoothly and helps with the technical specification of products for the handling of foods in restaurants and in the industry of food overall. Karla holds her Licenciatura in Food Technology from the University of Costa Rica and is a member of Collegio de Professional. In the next 3-5 years, she would like to be recognized in her area as she continues building a larger client base. When not engaged with work, Karla enjoys sports and is an avid reader.
