Kate Miller Spencer is the CEO and Founder of Miller Media Sales Inc. She started Miller Media Sales Inc in 1997, and then a year ago also started Cookgirl. Kate's skills include Advertising, Publishing, Marketing, Sales Management, Marketing Strategy, and also Social Media Marketing. She has been published in Food and Wine.com in May of 2015 for Sheridan Road. She has also worked for W Magazine and Bon appetite and has always enjoyed working in the food arena. With more than 25 years of sales experience for multi-platform brands, both as a staff sales person in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and a rep-firm owner based in Chicago for a 17 state territory from 1997 to 2014, Kate is passionate about brand selling and developing relationships that result in programs that deliver. With an eye to the future and a passion for cause-related marketing, Miller Media launched CookGirl in January 2015. Focused on promoting female chefs and providing a platform for funding the next wave of talent via the non-profit COOKGIRL FOUNDATION, CookGirl is a for-profit social enterprise with a focus on new media and events. In October 2015, Miller Media signed on as a consultant for Beautycounter, a B Corporation based in Santa Monica and founded by Gregg Renfrew. Beautycounter is on a mission to deliver safe products into the hands of everyone and make an impact with new legislation for the largely unregulated cosmetic industry. With products that meet the litmus test of both luxuriously effective and decidedly, transparently non-toxic, Beautycounter is the future and Kate is thrilled to be a part of it.
