Kavitha M. Chinnaiyan is an award-winning cardiologist at Beaumont Health System and Associate Professor of Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Michigan. She is also a wife, mother and yogini, and brings the intuitive insights and lessons learned in her own practice of yogic principles to her popular prevention program for chronic illnesses.
Kavitha has been featured in the “Best Doctors of America” and has served on several national and international committees. She has been a spokesperson for the American Heart Association and served as the co-chair of the “Go Red for Women” event sponsored by the American Heart Association. She is the recipient of several awards and grants for research in cardiology, and has appeared on local and national radio and television. She is the founder of Heal Your Heart Free Your Soul, a prevention program that focuses on healing the mind, body, spirit, relationships and emotions.
