Kennetha McGuire is Administrative Dietician at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center in Ohio. With two decades of experience in the nutritional field, she helps the staff understand policies, new procedures, and how to read a diet ticket. She also overhauled the menu, to ensure it was carb consistent and maintains diets befitting a hospital. Working closely with her staff, she conducts new hire orientation, and helps to strategize and implement new menus and dietary policies within the hospital.
In 2002, Kennetha completed a master's degree in Community Nutrition from Eastern Kentucky University. She was inspired to enter the field after a basketball coach put pressure on her and her teammates to choose their majors, and she realized she was interested in helping others develop healthful habits.
Looking ahead, Kennetha plans tol focus on staying healthy and growing a cosmetics and skincare business. She credits her success to being driven, setting goals and persisting in completing them. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other likeminded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
