Katonya Hughey is the Owner of Juene' Consulting, where she interacts and offers guidance for Junior Professionals, giving them direction and teaching them the building blocks to be successful in the financial services industry. Additionally, she is a business leader, aspiring children’s author, consultant and self-confessed advocate for today’s youth. As a lover of life, she believes that all children deserve to lead a happy and healthy life. She loves words, books, and self-empowerment. She also loves the intricacies of managing an everyday life and inspiring others. She has been working with kids since 1995, and mentored kids at several schools in the greater Hartford area and Atlanta, GA. She developed curriculum for the Wilson Gray YMCA 7th grade entrepreneur program, and implemented a youth mentoring program at Fred D. Wish elementary school in Hartford, CT. Her love and commitment for today’s youth inspire her to create reading materials that will promote a healthy mind, healthy lifestyle and helps to develop an appreciation for differences. She spent 20 years as a leader and executive in corporate America was devoted to helping consumers to understand and plan for retirement. Her bachelor’s degree is in Business Administration, and she received her graduate degree in Organization Leadership from Quinnipiac University in CT. When not working, she is usually spending time with her son and granddaughter, dancing, coaching, mentoring and spending time with family members. She credits her success to humility and hard work. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
